Terms of use

Effective September 22, 2026. These terms are offered by Hector Liriano, publisher of Screenfin.

What Screenfin does

Screenfin is an independent client for a Jellyfin server you choose. It lets you browse and play that server's media and coordinate watch parties through a compatible Screenfin server. It does not provide a Jellyfin account, a media library, or any films or shows. Screenfin is not affiliated with or endorsed by Jellyfin.

Your servers and media

You are responsible for access to the Jellyfin and Screenfin servers you use, for the people you invite to a party, and for having the rights needed to access and share the media you play. A server operator may set additional rules for that server. Do not use Screenfin to infringe others' rights, bypass access controls, or disrupt a server or other viewers. Jellyfin decides what each account may play; a party invitation does not grant media access.

Software and availability

The apps and web client are proprietary. The relay, protocol, and configuration packages carry the PolyForm Shield 1.0.0 license; that license governs those packages. Your use of a store app is also subject to the applicable store's license terms. A self-hosted server, your Jellyfin server, network, and third-party devices can be unavailable or change independently of Screenfin. Keep backups of anything you choose to host; Screenfin is not a backup service.

Privacy and purchases

The privacy policy explains how the current product handles data. Where a purchase is offered in an app, its price and any renewal, cancellation, and refund terms are presented before you buy. The applicable app store processes the purchase and its billing terms also apply.
